Scripture:
“Before him went the pestilence, and burning coals went forth at his feet.” – Habakkuk 3:5 (KJV)
Devotional Reading:
Habakkuk describes the awesome power of God—pestilence and plagues are under His feet. This means what terrifies men is subject to Him. He rides above pestilence; it cannot resist His command.
During the ten plagues in Egypt (Exodus 7–12), God used pestilence as a tool of judgment, yet He spared His children. The same God who controlled pestilence then still controls it today. Pestilence may look uncontrollable, but at the feet of Jesus, every destructive force must bow.
Take courage: that affliction trying to rise against you is beneath His feet. As you abide in Christ, it is beneath your feet too (Ephesians 1:22).
Prayer:
👉 FATHER, LET EVERY FORM OF PESTILENCE BE SUBJECT TO YOUR FEET AND BE UNDER MY FEET ALSO, IN JESUS’ NAME.
